Skipton Sep 2025

We found ourselves a rather nice ‘Air B&B’ just off Gargrave Road for a few days. It came with a parking spot. The problem was, I had to reverse uphill along a very narrow cobbled cul-de-sac for over 80 metres to get to it. My door mirrors were only just missing the wall on one side, and the mirrors of other parked cars on the other. It was okay once we got there, but I wasn’t  looking forwards to taking the car out again.

Most of the time we spent around our usual haunts, as we have been to Skipton quite a few times. On one day though, we ventured out onto Ilkley moor, for very long, very hilly, very tiring, but enjoyable walk. And we only got lost once!
